It was established in 1887 as "Militaire Hospital" during the Dutch colonial period and later renamed "Dustira" in 1956, after Major Dr. Dustira Prawiraamidjaya.The hospital serves as the highest referral hospital for the Siliwangi Military Command Area, providing comprehensive healthcare to soldiers, civil servants, their families, and the general public
