Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) is Bahrain’s largest tertiary hospital, established in 1957 and relaunched as a medical complex in 1978. Located in the Salmaniya district of Manama, SMC is the Kingdom’s primary public healthcare provider, offering a comprehensive range of secondary, tertiary, and emergency services. It is a major teaching and research center, affiliated with Arabian Gulf University and RCSI Bahrain.
