Select Specialty Hospital - Des Moines is a 30-bed, all-private-room critical illness recovery hospital located on the fourth floor of MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. The hospital specializes in helping critically ill patients recover functions such as breathing, eating, walking, talking, and thinking as independently as possible. The care team includes physicians, nurses, therapists, dietitians, and pharmacists who develop customized treatment plans for each patient. The hospital is part of Select Medical, one of the largest providers of post-acute care in the United States, with a focus on quality, safety, and compassionate care
