Shanti Mukand Hospital was founded on 2nd April, 1995. It started with 32 bedded trust based hospital Registered under Society Act 1860 by Dr. R P Gupta & his team. We pursue the legacy of selfless service - the cornerstone of Hippocratic ethos - with vigour, year after year.We are a Charitable Institution registered under Section 12 A of the Income Tax Act 1961. We are an eligible organization to receive Donations from the public and donations given to the organization are exempted in the hands of the donors the provision of Under Section 80 G of Income Tax Act 1961. We are an approved Non Teaching Organization for Training Fellows under DNB programme by National Board of Examination (NBE).A strategic plan on the hospital's expansion has been drawn up in consultation with a homogenous group of experts and technical specialists. The hospital building is projected to expand vertically in order to house many new facilities including addition of 450 Beds once the building for the same is completed.The hospital provides high quality and cost effective and affordable medical services to cater the needs of all sections of the Society.SMH is a community hospital & frequented by the resident of East Delhi besides patient from far & wide come to the hospital for its ethical values based on the principle of 3E's (Economical, Ethical and Efficiency).The hospital treats 25% patient in OPD and 10% patients in the IPD absolutely free & this facility is extended to the patients belonging to BPL category. The free treatment includes Bed, Doctor Consultations, Surgery, Diagnostics, Imaging, Food & Medicine.We conduct several In-house & Outdoor Multispecialty Camps which are completely free.We undertake several educational cum health talks at various locations for the benefits of general public etc.
