The hospital was part of the broader Shir-o-Khorshid (Lion and Sun) Society, which provided critical medical services, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and emergency relief stations to the community, especially in the early to mid-20th century. It was known for offering free medical care and medicines to the needy and was a pioneer in establishing modern healthcare infrastructure in Fars Province.
