Healthcare in our country has undergone a transformation that has allowed new private institutions to become part of the network providing healthcare services to the community at large, especially those with limited access. 

 

Law 100 of 1993 and all existing amendments offer a major change, drawing on the valuable contributions of its principles such as quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and solidarity. It introduces us to the challenge of competing healthily with public health institutions that are rooted in the old model of the National Health System in Colombia. Our remaining task is to contribute to highlighting our health system, which, in our analysis, is very good; it only requires commitment and conscientious work, always with the aim of offering quality of life.

 

The SIKUASO IPS-I Foundation is dynamically opening up to this market with the hope of delivering efficient, safe, supportive, and humane services that will make a significant contribution to the development and healthy coexistence of the Department, while meeting the requirements of the Mandatory Quality Assurance System, using the following as a framework of reference:

• Decree 1011 of 2006.

• The legal provisions established by the 1991 Constitutional Reform will undoubtedly enable Colombia to meet the global health goal.

• The 1991 Political Constitution defines a new legal, constitutional, and social order for the country and establishes social health security as an inalienable right of the individual; a mandatory public service run by the state, based on the principles of universality, solidarity, efficiency, integrity, unity, and participation; and a duty of every citizen to maintain their health.

•
