Skaraborgs Sjukhus (SkaS) provides highly specialized healthcare within thirty medical, surgical and psychiatric specialties. The hospital is part of the Västra Götaland region, and has operations in Falköping, Lidköping, Mariestad and Skövde.

SkaS Skövde provides care, research and education in both acute and planned care. There is an emergency department in both somatics and psychiatry, as well as childbirth, maternity, and a large number of other specialist areas, such as cardiology, orthopedics, surgery, infection, eyes, ear, nose, throat, pediatrics, child and adult psychiatry, renal medicine, skin, intensive care and surgery, to name a few.

SkaS Lidköping provides planned care in orthopedics (mainly joint replacement), surgery and medicine, with a specialist care department in orthopedics and surgery, day care in medicine and clinics in areas such as gastrointestinal, surgery and urology, diabetes clinic, oncology clinic, adult psychiatry and children's clinic and eye clinic.

SkaS Falköping has a large day surgery operation, including bariatric surgery, as well as an adult psychiatric clinic and a forensic psychiatric department.

In Mariestad there is adult psychiatry and child psychiatry.

The hospital also conducts research, development work and education.

Good hospital but they should remove the elderly woman in the switchboard when you call 62500..Heard several people say she's really mean and grumpy..I feel sorry for elderly people who call who may not be able to hear well..
