What an amazing experience! I am recovering from an L5-S1 fusion which was done at Specialist Hospital in Shreveport, LA about 3 weeks ago. This is my 7th surgery in my 63 years of life and this one was probably the most complicated. The “360” procedure meant that the surgeon went in through my stomach and my back. I was told that a 3 day hospital stay would be expected and true to their word, the 3 days were needed. The entire staff, including the Case Manager, Physical Therapy Department, my amazing surgeon, Dr. Kerr and his PA Stephen Kay, and the entire nursing staff, were so kind and attentive. The care I received at this hospital was beyond exemplary. I was constantly checked on, assessed, and made sure that I was as comfortable as could be. The staff never just popped in and out, they would come in, ask heartfelt questions and listen to whatever concerns my wife and I had about the post-op part of my stay. The nurses! How amazing they all were. Thanks to Keisha, Farrah, Sarah and Tiffany for all of your incredible care. I highly recommend Specialist Hospital.

Those Ladies are More than nurses. They make you feel so at ease and comfortable. I’ve been there more than once, and I have to say that I never am afraid or scared. They truly make me feel cared for, loved, and like a patient should be treated. I dearly love those ladies and one in particular, Ms Stephanie!! Yes, it’s me Janet.
