Founded in 1938, Spitak Medical Center has undergone significant transformations, especially after the 1988 earthquake that led to the destruction of the original hospital building. With the support of international partners, a new facility was established in 1989. In 1997, it was reorganized into "Spitak Central Hospital" CJSC, and in 2007, it merged with "Spitak Polyclinic" to become the current "Spitak Medical Center" CJSC.
