Nice Hospital but the system there makes no sense. Its really inconvenient. It’s a depressing place to be. More like a mental facility. The employees are hard working but the patients are rude . They don’t appreciate you being there . Don’t ever work for the Outpatient Lab . Bad management. The system there is horrible. It’s beyond busy everyday . You register for blood draws and X-ray all in one location and sign in on a Kiosk. There is a lot of confusion and it is also a walk facility , No scheduling so the wait time is beyond ridiculous. The wait times can be up to 3 hours for lab work such as blood draws . The Physicians never place orders into the systems correctly for the patients . On the floors the patients rooms are disgusting. Some of the nurses are careless . A lot of onside bed patient complaints about nurses not attending to their needs . Never work for SLU Outpatient Lab .The manager is rude unprofessional and gets along with anybody she can manipulate. As long as she can have her way with you she acts like she is your best friend . There is no steady schedule . You are all over the place . You work both outpatient and floors to draw blood which is overworking and overwhelming. No one ever works for the lab long and you will definitely find out why .
