1. Recently I went to the Geelong St John of God ED very unwell & willing to pay to be seen because having already spent 12 hours at the Geelong Hospital ED previously I just couldn’t sit there again. The care I received was exceptional, fast & literally saved my life. The nurses & Dr’s were incredible even though I was not a private patient. They organised my transfer to the Geelong Hospital for admission for ongoing treatment. Without their initial care I know I would have been in serious trouble. I would not hesitate to go back there again if I ever needed to.
2. Stayed on the maternity ward. Nursing care has been wonderful and so much support to help us transition to parenthood. Had an very positive birth experience with an excellent obstetrician and medical team. However It's dissapointing that we have had to supply our own nappies and wipes. And that the Walls of the rooms are paper thin. We could hear the whole word for word conversations of the parents next door. Were awakened frequently when other parents pressed their nurse assist buttons as we could hear it inside our room.
