Misty was first person my husband and I met at St.Joseph’s Cancer Center. She was so very gracious in that encounter: smiling and easy going; took time to listen to concerns about everything from what the doctors were like to scheduling a difficult appointment around other medical providers too. She entered as much info in the computer as possible to prevent delays at next visit. All of this while coping with my anxiety at the beginning of chemo treatment for my husband. The fact that I came rushing in to initiate the process five minutes before closing time did not deter her good spirits! This first encounter was really significant because we had several earlier providers treat us with neglect. Misty set the tone for our trust in a wonderful staff at the Cancer Center. We are so pleased with them all!

My experience was great. The nurse(?) who ran the monitor during my swallowing test, was so nice and reassuring. She explained every step, what we were doing and what it meant. She showed me each video, going over every step in-depth so I could understand. She was funny and clearly very knowledgeable about the whole procedure. Great experience and now I understand what’s wrong with my swallowing. I’ll be going there for some ‘therapy’ to correct what the deficiencies are. I hope it’s with her.
