Tafuna Family Health Center is the flagship site of the American Samoa Community Health Center (ASCHC) network, located in the heart of the western side of Tutuila island. Established as the first Federally Qualified Health Center in American Samoa, Tafuna Family Health Center began providing services in 2003 and serves as the primary administrative and service delivery site for the territory’s community health initiatives. The center offers comprehensive primary and preventive care, including family medicine, women’s and maternal health, pediatric care, chronic disease management, immunizations, laboratory services, pharmacy, dental care, and health education. It is also a focal point for public health programs such as cancer screening, newborn hearing screening, early intervention for children with special needs, tobacco and diabetes prevention, and infectious disease surveillance
