Taichung Veterans General Hospital is located in central Taiwan. It started medical services on September 16, 1982. Since 1991 it has been accredited “Medical Center and First Class Teaching Hospital” by the governmental Department of Health. This is a 1,634-bed hospital with around 4,700 employees. It is able to handle about 9,300 outpatients and 200 patients in the emergency room daily. As a public medical center, it provides safe, high-quality medical services with advanced facilities and training programs as well as outstanding research and development programs.
