The Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University was founded in 1902 and was formerly known as the Middle East Railway Hospital. It is one of the first national tertiary-level A hospitals and one of the top 100 hospitals in China. It is a comprehensive tertiary-level A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research, with a century-old cultural heritage. Incorporated into Harbin Medical University in 2004, the hospital has a total construction area of 501,800 square meters and a total area of 364,600 square meters. It has two campuses, Jiangnan and Songbei. The hospital has strong technical strength and currently has 4,493 employees, including 740 senior professional titles, 1 Yangtze River Scholar, 1 National Outstanding Young Scholar, 4 Provincial Outstanding Young Scholars, and 9 State Council Special Allowances.
