1. All of the hospital staff were very kind and helpful. The hospital itself was clean and modern with a wait ticket system.
I'm not sure of how high the hospital's English level is since I can comfortably speak Japanese but there's English translations on all of the signs around the hospital so I imagine they get some foreigners occasionally.
2. I was surprised by the bad reviews, but everyone from the doctor in charge, the nurses, the person in charge of rehabilitation, and the nutritionist were kind and appropriate. The patient was rushed to the hospital due to acute myocardial infarction and underwent catheter surgery. After moving from the intensive care unit to a general hospital room, I was able to relax by watching TV, the internet, and magazines. The food was bland, but I was surprised to find curry rice, meat soba, and yakiniku. He recovered well and was discharged from the hospital in two weeks. It seems that there is a track record regarding cardiac catheters.
