In 2001, a team of 12 experienced physicians established the Sahand Medical Complex. Over the next few years, from 2005 to 2006, after the complex's activities peaked, the founding board concluded that the Sahand Complex was no longer meeting the needs of service recipients due to the increasing demand and workload, and that services should be provided more widely. Therefore, the idea of establishing a fully equipped hospital gradually took shape. Out of the 12 initial investors, 6 were selected as the founding board, and necessary plans were made to establish the hospital. This project required a lot of money, time, and numerous meetings, and in 2006, Abu Raihan Teb Aria Company was established to support the project's activities with the efforts of the board of directors, led by Dr. Khalil Nejad. The first step to establishing the hospital was to find an optimal and principled location. The founding board, considering the economic conditions, land prices, access to the transportation network, environmental pollution, the region's soil, and natural security against hazards such as floods and earthquakes, distance from other medical centers, population density, etc., finally selected District 22 after 8 months of study and investigation. The hospital is located in District 22 of the municipality, which is located in the northwest of Tehran and is the only region with an urban planning and architectural pattern in the country.
