The Sea Turtle Rescue Station in Quang Tri, centered on Con Co Island, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation of endangered sea turtles, especially green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas). The station responds to reports of stranded or entangled turtles, provides emergency care, and releases healthy individuals back into the wild. It also plays a key role in monitoring, protecting, and restoring turtle habitats and breeding grounds along the Quang Tri coastline

The station is recognized for its prompt rescue operations, successful releases, and community engagement. Local fishermen and volunteers are trained to report and assist in rescue efforts, leading to dozens of successful turtle rescues and releases each year
