About Us :

UAB Callahan Eye Hospital, established in 1963, is Alabama’s only hospital dedicated entirely to eye care. It serves as a Level 1 Ocular Trauma Center, providing 24/7 emergency eye care. The hospital is affiliated with the UAB School of Medicine and offers comprehensive services, including over 11,000 surgeries annually and a residency program that has trained more than 200 ophthalmologists.
