The University Hospital Bratislava (UNB) is the largest healthcare facility in Slovakia. The basic mission of UNB is to restore lost health and save lives. UNB consists of five hospitals – RuΕΎinov Hospital, Ak. L. Dérer Hospital in Kramáry, St. Cyril and Methodius Hospital in Antolská Street, Staré Mesto Hospital in Mickiewiczova Street and the Specialized Geriatric Hospital in Podunajské Biskupice. The hospital employs over 1,400 doctors and 2,200 nurses, a total of approximately 6,000 employees. It is a state-funded organization founded by the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.
