Valley Hospital provides a wide range of services, including:
Since 1972, the healthcare professionals at Valley Hospital have provided quality patient care to all who enter our doors. Valley Hospital is located in the center corridor in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District (LVMD) with 306 acute care beds, including a 48-bed behavioral health unit and 16-bed rehab unit. As a teaching hospital with graduate medical education, a new pharmacy residency program and over 600 multidisciplinary clerkships and internships offered annually, we focus on the use of evidence-based medicine and the importance of following clinical pathways that research has shown to be effective with most patients.
Valley Hospital provides a wide range of services, including:
Accreditation: Check if the hospital is accredited by reputable organizations like The Joint Commission or the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). Accreditation indicates that the hospital meets certain quality and safety standards.
Patient Outcomes: Look at publicly available data on patient outcomes, such as mortality rates, complication rates, and infection rates. These metrics can provide insights into the quality of care provided by the hospital.
Patient Satisfaction Scores: Review patient satisfaction scores and feedback, which can often be found on hospital websites or through third-party websites like Hospital Compare. High patient satisfaction scores may indicate a positive patient experience and quality care.
Clinical Quality Measures: Evaluate how the hospital performs on clinical quality measures related to conditions or procedures you're interested in. Organizations like the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provide data on hospital performance.
Reputation and Rankings: Consider the hospital's reputation within the community and any rankings it has received from organizations like U.S. News & World Report or Healthgrades. While rankings shouldn't be the sole factor in decision-making, they can provide additional context.
Physician and Staff Credentials: Research the qualifications and expertise of the physicians and medical staff who work at the hospital. Board certifications, experience, and specialized training can contribute to the quality of care provided.
