Vietnam – Cuba Dong Hoi Friendship Hospital, established in 1981 with Cuban government support, is a symbol of international cooperation and a leading healthcare institution in central Vietnam. Originally built as a gesture of solidarity by Cuba after Fidel Castro's historic 1973 visit, the hospital has grown into a top-class general hospital with more than 900 beds, 39 departments, and over 700 staff including 190 physicians. The hospital is renowned for its comprehensive medical services, modern infrastructure, and commitment to both local and international patients. It regularly collaborates with Cuban medical experts and has a tradition of humanitarian surgery and community health outreach
