My mom was flown into this hospital after a stroke. The care she and my family were given was world class. Truly exceptional. George and Ray. Her nurses gave her so much compassion. And as importantly they sat with my dad. Shared stories with him. Explained procedures to him. They helped him so much. Once family flew in they took us all under their compassionate wings. I have to say. Each person.... from the front desk to doctors... they were all so fabulous. It was the end of my mom's journey..... but this facility made it a memory I will treasure. The Emergency Department is fantastic. From the time I checked my wife in until we left they were terrific. Everyone was kind, knowledgeable and helpful from the check in person to the lady who did x rays. I would especially like to thank Scott Yappett, nurse practitioner. He not only kept us up to date on the results of tests as soon as they were available, but he was so personable, interactive and was very knowledgeable. He was able to get my wife's blood first try and she is a very hard stick. He showed extra caring. Being in the emergency room anywhere is not fun and takes longer than you would hope, but if she had to be in one I am glad it was this one.
