The First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine / Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1947. It was rated as a Class III Class A TCM hospital in 1994, a famous TCM hospital in Yunnan Province in 2007 , and passed the review of Class III Class A TCM hospitals in 2012 , 2017 , and 2022. It is the general hospital of Yunnan Provincial TCM Medical Group, which integrates 143 provincial, prefecture (city), county (district) TCM hospitals and related units in Yunnan Province. At present, it implements the management and operation mode of six brands and one team, including Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the General Hospital of Yunnan Provincial TCM Medical Group, Yunnan Acupuncture and Massage Rehabilitation Hospital, Yunnan TCM Dermatology Specialized Hospital, and the First Clinical Medical College of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
