In 2000 Zahida Welfare Dispensary was founded, providing GP type services. In 2009, following a major up-scaling of the operation and capacity, Zahida Welfare Hospital, a now 50 bedded non-profit making welfare hospital was established with the aim of providing heavily subsidised medical facilities to the poor and needy in Lahore.
