About Us :

The direct patient care area of the Zala County Saint Raphael Hospital is Zalaegerszeg and its surroundings, and Lenti and its surroundings. This means that 42% of the county's population falls within our care area, but we also accept patients from the entire county and beyond the county borders if necessary. With the help of our 1,700 employees, we treat 37,000 cases annually in 20 inpatient departments with 1,270 beds, and 1 million cases in more than 100 specialist clinics. The healing work is supported by 11 central diagnostic, therapeutic and central care departments.

The scope of activities of our medical departments – due to the nature of the county hospital – is diverse. In addition to the traditional medical professions (internal medicine, surgery, neurology, psychiatry, gynecology, pediatrics, etc.), we can also highlight countless areas that do not belong to the profile of an average hospital. For example, we can mention orthopedics, oral surgery, ophthalmology, the STROKE Center, the pediatric intensive care unit, and last but not least, cardiac surgery, which is outstanding at a national level. With the establishment of the Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Center – which includes the modernly equipped cardiology internal medicine department, the hemodynamic laboratory, cardiac surgery and cardiac rehabilitation – the complex care of cardiological patients in the county and the region was realized.
