Andreas Baumbach is a distinguished consultant interventional cardiologist based in London. His areas of expertise include aortic stenosis, cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, heart attack, and heartburn. He is highly proficient in angiogram, angioplasty, coronary stent placement, and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedures.
Professor Baumbach consults privately at Cleveland Clinic London Hospital. With over 35 years’ experience, he also serves as the director of interventional research at Barts Heart Centre, where he is Professor of Interventional Cardiology as well.
Professor Baumbach qualified from the University of Tübingen in 1989. He completed higher specialist in internal medicine, cardiology, and intensive care medicine, before joining the University of Bristol in 2000. He holds esteemed fellowship to both the Royal College of Physicians and the European Society of Cardiology. Notably, he was also president of the European Association of Percutaneous Interventions from 2018 to 2020.
