Dr Sr Helen Cameron

Dr. Helen Cameron is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over 18 years of practice in the healthcare field. She completed her MBBS in 2004 and earned her FRACGP in 2010, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr. Cameron has worked extensively in hospital settings, aged care, and private general practice. She has a strong focus on chronic disease management, mental health, and indigenous healthcare. Her career has included extensive work with elderly patients, managing aged care needs, and providing preventive healthcare to patients of all ages.

Her expertise spans from family medicine, including paediatrics, adult care, and geriatric care, to mental health care for adults and elderly patients. Dr. Cameron’s work in indigenous healthcare has focused on improving access to care, reducing health disparities, and providing culturally appropriate care to Indigenous communities.

Dr. Cameron’s research experience includes community health studies focused on chronic disease prevention, mental health initiatives, and improving healthcare delivery in rural and indigenous communities. She has worked on public health initiatives to promote early intervention in chronic diseases and improve health outcomes for rural populations.

She has also contributed to clinical research examining the best methods for improving elderly care, managing age-related health conditions, and providing palliative care to patients in remote and underserved regions.  she is deeply involved in local health education and community health improvement initiatives.
