Dr Barbara Moritz

Dr. Barbara Moritz graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1982 and has been practicing medicine in general practice since 1985. She moved to Tamworth in 1991 and has been an integral part of the community’s healthcare system ever since. Dr. Moritz has over 35 years of experience in general practice.

Throughout her career, Dr. Moritz has undertaken several key roles, including 3 years as the Director of Medical Services at Tamworth Hospital. Additionally, she has been involved in GP training, mentoring the next generation of doctors in the region.

Dr. Moritz has a deep passion for women’s health, chronic disease management, and preventive care. She is particularly focused on managing diabetes and chronic kidney disease, helping her patients manage these conditions with a holistic approach that includes medical treatment, lifestyle adjustments, and ongoing education. Dr. Moritz consults on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday mornings, offering her vast expertise to patients in Tamworth and surrounding areas.
