Dr. David Lockart is a General Practitioner with a strong passion for improving healthcare delivery through education, leadership, and advocacy. Born and raised in Tamworth, NSW, Dr. Lockart completed his primary and high school education in his hometown. He moved to Sydney in 2003 to study Medicine at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and upon completing his degree, he underwent his initial hospital and GP training in Northern Sydney.

Dr. Lockart returned to Tamworth in 2013 to complete the final part of his GP training. Since then, he has worked at Tallowwood Health, starting as a registrar and becoming a part owner and director in July 2018. He is passionate about educating the next generation of GPs and currently serves as a Medical Educator with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

In addition to his practice, Dr. Lockart has been involved with the Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC PHN) since 2017. Initially serving on its Rural Clinical Council and later as a board member starting in 2024, Dr. Lockart has provided valuable input on local health issues and community health initiatives.

With over 15 years of medical experience, Dr. Lockart is dedicated to improving healthcare delivery and ensuring that local communities receive the best possible care.
