Dr. Diane Xiao graduated with Honours in Medicine from the University of Sydney and has been a dedicated General Practitioner since joining North Sydney Medical Practice in February 2019. Dr. Xiao is particularly passionate about family medicine, providing care at every stage of life, from contraception and sexual health to chronic disease management and mental health care.
Dr. Xiao has completed further training, including a Sydney Child Health Program (formerly Diploma of Child Health) and a FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. She is qualified to perform Implanon NXT insertion and removal procedures, offering comprehensive family planning options for her patients. In addition to her work in women’s health, Dr. Xiao has undergone Mental Health Skills Training (Level 2) in Focused Psychological Strategies, allowing her to support patients with mental health concerns effectively.
Her approach to care is centred on individualized, quality healthcare, and she has a strong focus on preventative health. Dr. Xiao’s holistic care approach ensures that she is equipped to manage a range of medical issues, from the acute to the chronic, in both adults and children.
