Dr. Dumindu Alwis was born and graduated in Sri Lanka in 2009 with his MBBS from the University of Colombo. He moved to Australia and joined Dubbo Medical and Allied Health Group as a permanent doctor to pursue his career as a General Practitioner. Dr. Alwis began his Australian medical career as an Emergency Medicine registrar at Campbelltown Hospital, where he gained valuable experience in emergency care, paediatrics, and acute care. During this period, he successfully completed the Emergency Medicine Certificate conducted by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.
With over 12 years of experience, Dr. Alwis is particularly interested in chronic disease management, men’s health, child and adolescent care, preventive health, and mental health. His approach to general practice is holistic and patient-centered, with an emphasis on early intervention and long-term wellness. Dr. Alwis is currently accepting new patients.
