Specialization:
Dr Gary Wright graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1999. He has trained extensively in Cardiology in Dundee, Newcastle, Plymouth and Ontario, Canada, and was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in January 2014. He is also a Consultant at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Dr Wright's current practice involves all aspects of Cardiology with a particular expertise in management of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) including catheter ablation and implantation of pacemakers - this includes HIS bundle pacing, cardiac defibrillators (ICD), and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) for heart failure. He performs catheter ablation for all arrhythmias including Atrial Fibrillation, SVT, VT, and in patients with complex Congenital Heart Conditions. He has expertise in managing people with inherited cardiac conditions.
Dr Wright has published and presented internationally on novel pacing techniques and takes part in research at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital.
