Dr. Howard Marshall is a Consultant Cardiologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He earned his medical degree from the University of Leeds in 1988 and completed his postgraduate training in general medicine and cardiology in Sheffield. In 1992, he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and later completed his MD at the University of Birmingham, focusing on invasive strategies for managing atrial fibrillation.

Dr. Marshall has a strong clinical focus on arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, tachycardias, palpitations, and syncope. He is highly skilled in procedures such as catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator insertion, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy. He also provides care for patients with heart failure, valve disease, and other general cardiac conditions.

He has played a pivotal role in developing the pacing and defibrillator services at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, establishing it as the largest centre for these treatments in the region. His collaboration with Dr. Mike Griffith has also been instrumental in expanding the hospital's ablation services, making it one of the leading centres for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation in the UK. Together, they have hosted numerous international live courses, sharing their expertise with peers around the world.
