In 2011, she moved to Australia and joined Peninsula Health, where she gained extensive experience as a Hospital Medical Officer in several specialties, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Aged Care, and Rehabilitation.

In 2014, Dr. Jayasundara relocated to Wodonga with her family and transitioned into General Practice.
