Dr Iranga Jayasundara

Dr. Iranga Jayasundara is a General Practitioner with over 10 years of clinical experience. After completing her MBBS, Dr. Jayasundara began her medical career in Sri Lanka, where she completed her internship and worked as a Medical Officer. In 2011, she moved to Australia and joined Peninsula Health, where she gained extensive experience as a Hospital Medical Officer in several specialties, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Aged Care, and Rehabilitation.

In 2014, Dr. Jayasundara relocated to Wodonga with her family and transitioned into General Practice. Since then, she has developed a reputation for providing compassionate, holistic care to patients of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on family-centered healthcare. She is particularly dedicated to supporting pediatric care, women’s health, and the management of chronic conditions.

Dr. Jayasundara is also an accredited supervisor for junior doctors, passionately mentoring the next generation of medical professionals and guiding them in their medical careers.

Dr. Jayasundara has been involved in clinical research in pediatrics, dermatology, and women’s health, with a focus on improving patient care and health outcomes. She has contributed to studies on chronic disease management, preventive care, and early intervention in pediatric health. Additionally, Dr. Jayasundara’s research on dermatological conditions aims to improve treatment protocols for skin conditions commonly seen in primary care.
