Dr. Jane Lawrence has over 38 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated with an MBBS from the University of New South Wales in 1983 and has since worked in various medical disciplines. Dr. Lawrence began her career in Psychiatry, and General Medicine during her time in England, before returning to Australia and commencing her career in General Practice in 1990.
Throughout her career, Dr. Lawrence has developed a strong interest in family medicine, particularly in women’s health, which includes antenatal care, contraception, and preventative health measures. She is also trained in the insertion and removal of Implanon, a long-acting reversible contraceptive. Dr. Lawrence has extended her practice to paediatrics, providing care for children and managing their health from infancy to adolescence.
In addition to her general practice work, Dr. Lawrence provides a weekly visiting service to St Catherine’s Residential Aged Care Facility and holds an appointment as a Visiting Medical Officer at Bathurst Private Hospital. She is also the owner and operator of a medical services business at Russell St Medical Centre, where she continues to provide high-quality medical care to the local community.
