Dr. Jennifer Martin is a pediatrician who strives to create partnerships with patients and their families. “I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families through the years and watching kids grow and flourish,” she said. “These relationships are invaluable to achieving and maintaining health goals throughout the lifespan.” As an advocate for children’s health, Dr. Martin believes in promoting early literacy. “Strong and healthy communities are built on literacy,” she said. “If you work with your children by reading to them at an early age, it can help them learn to talk and to succeed in school and later in life.” Dr. Martin was born and raised in Tucson. She earned her undergraduate degree in microbiology at Northern Arizona University and earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She returned to Tucson and completed a pediatric residency through the University of Arizona. “I grew up in Tucson and I love this city and practicing medicine in a community where my roots are,” she said. When she is not working, Dr. Martin enjoys arts, crafts, reading, spending time with family and travel.
