Dr Joanna Zakrzewski

Dr. Joanna Zakrzewski is an experienced General Practitioner with over 18 years of practice. After completing her MBBS in 2004, Dr. Zakrzewski initially worked at Gosford Hospital, before pursuing her passion for expedition and race medicine as an international doctor. She worked in the United Kingdom for 15 years, gaining vast experience in a wide range of general practice settings. Her return to the Central Coast has allowed her to continue practicing with a particular focus on family planning, women’s health, and sports medicine.

In addition to her general practice work, Dr. Zakrzewski’s interests include travel medicine, nutrition, and providing care to athletes. She has worked with several athletes, both recreational and professional, to optimize their health, nutrition, and performance. Dr. Zakrzewski's compassionate approach to care and dedication to her patients make her a trusted healthcare provider.

Dr. Zakrzewski has been involved in research related to travel medicine, particularly focusing on health risks associated with long-duration travel and expeditions. She has also participated in studies on women’s health, particularly in areas of family planning and reproductive health. Her work also extends to sports medicine and nutrition, focusing on optimizing health for athletes at all levels.
