Experience

Dr. Lauren Cone graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2007, and since then has been practicing in the North West region of New South Wales. She completed her junior doctor training in and around Tamworth, giving her extensive experience in the region and a deep understanding of the healthcare needs of rural communities.

With over 15 years of experience in general practice, Dr. Cone has developed a keen interest in rural health, mental health, women's health, and children's health. Her work revolves around providing holistic care for individuals and families, with an emphasis on preventative health and mental well-being.

Dr. Cone currently works as the Clinical Dean for the University of Newcastle Department for Rural Health in Tamworth. In this role, she supports medical students and junior doctors who are training in the Tamworth region. Dr. Cone is passionate about medical education and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, particularly those interested in pursuing careers in rural medicine.
