Dr. Mario Malkoun is a skilled General (Laparoscopic) Surgeon and Endoscopist with over 15 years of experience in his field. He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Sydney in 2004, after which he pursued specialty training in general surgery. Dr. Malkoun obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2011, which enabled him to specialize in laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy.

Dr. Malkoun has worked in various hospitals and medical settings, both in urban and rural areas, performing a wide range of surgeries, including minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures. He has a strong interest in gastrointestinal surgery, including procedures related to the esophagus, stomach, and colon, as well as hernia repairs and gallbladder surgeries. His expertise extends to advanced endoscopic techniques, where he treats and diagnoses a range of digestive tract disorders. Dr. Malkoun’s goal is to provide his patients with the safest, most effective surgical options, with an emphasis on minimally invasive approaches for quicker recovery times.
