Dr Matthew Andrews

Dr. Matthew Andrews is an accomplished General Radiologist with over 20 years of medical experience. After completing his MBBS at the University of Melbourne in 2000, Dr. Andrews went on to specialize in radiology, achieving his FRANZCR Fellowship in 2006.

Dr. Andrews has a particular interest in ultrasound and minor interventional procedures. He has also held leadership positions, including Past President of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). Currently, he is the Director of Medical Imaging at Cabrini Brighton and chairs the I-MED Victoria Clinical Management Committee.

At I-MED Radiology, Dr. Andrews ensures high-quality reporting and fast turnaround times by utilizing the I-TeleRAD teleradiology service, the largest and most sophisticated teleradiology reporting system in Australia. He has helped lead initiatives aimed at improving patient care and operational efficiency in diagnostic imaging.

Dr. Andrews has been actively involved in research in diagnostic radiology, particularly in the field of ultrasound imaging and minor interventional procedures. His research focuses on improving diagnostic accuracy in musculoskeletal conditions and enhancing the use of ultrasound for non-invasive procedures. Dr. Andrews has also contributed to studies on the use of teleradiology in improving access to high-quality diagnostic imaging in remote areas.
