Dr Matthew Ginks is a highly regarded consultant cardiologist based in Oxford, practising at Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital. He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, with particular expertise in atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, catheter ablation, and pacemaker implantation. Dr Ginks is experienced in performing electrophysiology studies, electrocardiograms, and related diagnostics to manage conditions such as arrhythmia and palpitations, offering personalised, minimally invasive treatment options.
Dr Ginks graduated in medicine with honours from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in 2000. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and an active member of the British Heart Rhythm Society. He has published over 75 peer-reviewed papers and is co-editor of both the Oxford Handbook of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Catheter Ablation and the cardiac arrhythmia section of the Oxford Textbook of Medicine. His ongoing research centres on catheter ablation and cardiac resynchronisation therapy.
