Dr. Miles Behan is a Consultant Cardiologist with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. He attended medical school at both St Andrews and Cambridge Universities, completing his medical doctorate at Nottingham University, focusing on the role of blood cells in heart attacks. His specialist cardiology training was at St Thomas' Hospital, London, and in 2009, he was awarded the Cordis International Interventional Fellowship, spending a year in Adelaide, Australia. In 2011, he was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and also runs the Cardiology Clinic at Roodlands Hospital, Haddington. His specialist interest is percutaneous coronary intervention (stents), but he is trained in all aspects of cardiology, including pacemakers and valve disease. He welcomes referrals for the assessment of chest pain, breathlessness, murmurs, palpitations, and dizziness.
