Dr Nicholas Walder

Dr. Nicholas Walder brings over 20 years of medical experience to his role as a General Practitioner. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University College London (UCL) Medical School in 2003. After gaining his MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) in 2007, he practiced extensively in London, where he developed a strong foundation in men’s health, orthopaedics, paediatrics, and general family medicine. Notably, he trained at the prestigious University College Hospital London, working in one of the world’s leading men’s health clinics. He later relocated to Australia, earned his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2015, and joined Sydney Road Family Medical Practice in 2017. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Walder is committed to mentoring the next generation of doctors and is actively involved in undergraduate medical education.

Dr. Walder has been actively involved in clinical and applied research focussed on men’s health and orthopaedic care. While working at UCL’s men’s health clinic, he participated in case series and observational studies on testosterone therapy outcomes and male pelvic floor health. In Australia, he has contributed to clinic-level projects evaluating sports injury prevention programs and adolescent health screening in the community. Dr. Walder has presented insights at GP forums and local medical education sessions, and he continues to integrate evidence-based literature into his everyday practice, ensuring high-quality care grounded in current research.

Dr. Nicholas Walder is a highly experienced General Practitioner with a medical career spanning over two decades. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University College London (UCL) Medical School in 2003. Following this, he completed his general practice training and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2007. During his time in London, he gained valuable clinical experience in various specialties, including men’s health, orthopaedics, paediatrics, and general medicine.

A significant portion of his early career was spent at University College Hospital London, where he worked in a globally recognized men’s health clinic — an experience that shaped his ongoing interest in andrology and preventive male health. After relocating to Australia, Dr. Walder completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2015. He has been practicing at Sydney Road Family Medical Practice since its inception in 2017.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Walder is dedicated to the development of future medical professionals. He actively participates in undergraduate medical teaching and serves as a mentor to medical students and junior doctors. He is well known for his approachable demeanor, commitment to evidence-based care, and his focus on long-term patient relationships that support families throughout all stages of life.
