Dr Nickolaos Papamichail is a consultant cardiologist based in London. He has extensive experience as a cardiologist and specialises in heart failure, hypertension, echocardiography, stress tests, chest pain, palpitations, and valve disease.

Dr Papamichail qualified in 2000 from the University of Ioannina in Greece, and completed his advanced training in cardiology and echocardiography in Greece and the UK. He was awarded his PhD in Greece, for which he undertook six years of research on antiplatelet therapy for coronary artery thrombosis. He was awarded a fellowship with the European Society of Cardiology in 2016.

Dr Papamichail’s NHS is the Lewisham and Greenwich Trust, where he has been consultant since 2014 and is the clinical lead. Additionally, he is an honorary consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, where he offers echocardiography and cardiac imaging services.

Dr Papamichail’s research focus is on non-invasive cardiology, and he is the author of several publications and book chapters covering a wide range of cardiological topics such as echocardiography, general and non-invasive cardiology, antiplatelet treatment, valve disease, coronary artery disease, and cardiomyopathy.
