Dr. Raaz Shafique grew up in Fiji, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery. In her early medical career, she gained valuable experience working in local Emergency Departments. In 2021, Dr. Shafique and her partner migrated to Australia, where they initially settled in Sydney. In 2023, Dr. Shafique made the decision to move to Tamworth, where she quickly developed a strong affection for the area and its community.

With over 5 years of experience, Dr. Shafique is particularly passionate about Emergency Medicine, which has shaped her ability to work in high-pressure environments and make critical decisions quickly. She has been based in the Tamworth Hospital Emergency Department since relocating and has continued to hone her skills in emergency care. Alongside her work in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Shafique has a keen interest in Rural Medicine, Chronic Disease Management, and preventive health. She has made a significant contribution to Peel Health Care, bringing her expertise and dedication to the Tamworth community.
