Dr Sarah Wright

Dr. Sarah Wright is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over 20 years of medical experience. She earned her MBBS degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2005 and completed her GP training in the UK, where she practiced in Edinburgh before moving to Australia. After relocating, she worked in general practice across southern Sydney and later obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2013.

Since then, she has been serving the community at Sydney Road Family Medical Practice, where she is known for her warm, approachable manner and holistic approach to patient care. Her special interests include women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, child health, and mental wellbeing. In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Wright contributes actively to medical student education, mentoring the next generation of doctors through structured clinical training and supervision.

Dr. Sarah Wright has consistently integrated research-informed practices into her clinical work throughout her career. While completing her GP training in the UK, she participated in structured clinical audits focused on early detection of postnatal depression and improving uptake of childhood immunisations in under-screened populations. These projects allowed her to apply data-driven strategies to everyday primary care challenges.

After relocating to Australia, Dr. Wright continued her academic engagement by contributing to practice-based discussions and protocol reviews in areas such as sexual health screening, contraception access, and adolescent mental health. As part of her teaching role, she also supports medical students in case-based research presentations, particularly around women's health and preventive mental health care.

Dr. Sarah Wright is a UK-trained General Practitioner with over two decades of clinical experience in family medicine. She worked for several years in general practice in Edinburgh before relocating to Australia, where she continued her commitment to primary care.

In 2013, Dr. Wright obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and began practicing in Sydney. Her clinical interests include women’s health, child health, and mental health, areas in which she has cultivated both skill and deep compassion. She holds a postgraduate diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and is well-regarded for her gentle, supportive, and patient-focused consultation style.

Dr. Wright is also active in the field of medical education. She is involved in mentoring and teaching medical students, helping to train the next generation of general practitioners. She continues to provide evidence-based, empathetic care to individuals and families, with a focus on building long-term relationships and improving community health outcomes.
