Dr Siobhan Ballesty

Dr. Siobhan Ballesty graduated with Distinction from the University of Newcastle in 2011. She spent the first two years of her training at Tamworth Base Hospital, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of medical specialties. Following her training, Dr. Ballesty completed her junior doctor years in the Hunter/New England region, providing her with broad exposure to the healthcare needs of diverse communities.

Dr. Ballesty developed a keen interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology during her hospital postings, leading her to work in these fields in Newcastle, Maitland, Canberra, and Sydney. During this time, she pursued further studies, completing a Master in Reproductive Medicine through UNSW and a Diploma of Obstetrics (DRANZCOG).

With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Ballesty is passionate about providing high-quality care in women’s health, particularly in reproductive medicine, obstetrics, and gynaecology. Her holistic approach ensures that she addresses both the medical and emotional aspects of her patients' well-being, from preconception care to postpartum support.

Dr. Ballesty has contributed to research in reproductive medicine, particularly focusing on improving patient outcomes in fertility and obstetric care. While she has not published widely in academic journals, Dr. Ballesty has participated in multiple research projects related to women’s health and family planning. Her research interests include fertility preservation, gestational health, and the integration of modern technology in obstetric care.
