Dr Sonja Kauffman

Dr. Sonja Kauffman has over 7 years of experience as a General Practitioner. After completing her MBBS degree at the University of Sydney in 2014, Dr. Kauffman began her medical career in 2015. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including general practice, Aboriginal health, medical education, and ambulatory care.

Since 2015, Dr. Kauffman has been practicing in Orange, where she has developed a special interest in Aboriginal health and preventative care. She also works as a medical educator for medical students and junior doctors, focusing on rural healthcare and multidisciplinary care. Dr. Kauffman is dedicated to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal communities and promoting health education.

Dr. Kauffman has been involved in research focusing on Aboriginal health, preventative care, and rural healthcare delivery. Her research interests include early intervention strategies for chronic diseases in Aboriginal communities and the role of general practitioners in multidisciplinary care teams in rural areas.

She has contributed to several studies on health equity, health promotion, and community-based healthcare delivery in regional Australia.
