Dr. Thanh Trung Phan graduated with double First Class Honours (BMedSc 2000, MBChB 2002) from the University of Birmingham, then completed a PhD investigating cardiac energy metabolism in 2010 under BHF support. He is the Clinical Lead in Electrophysiology and Devices at Royal Stoke University Hospital, leading ablation programmes for serious arrhythmias and pioneering physiological pacing techniques. He is BHRS‑accredited in both electrophysiology and device therapy and is a Fellow of RCP, ACC, and ESC. Dr. Phan is active in clinical research and education, with numerous publications and presentations in elite cardiology forums. He also conducts private practice consultations and speaks conversational Vietnamese.
